Answer:<\/strong><\/em> The Boyfriend (TB) and friends Laura and Dave and I were hanging out together one day several years ago. Dave spent some time chatting with a salesperson in a stereo shop. As salespeople often do, this salesdude introduced himself to Dave and Dave replied, “Hi, I’m Dave.” However, the salesguy thought Dave said, “Steve.” When Dave told us about this later, he mentioned that salespeople often think his name is Steve. I suggested that: 1) Dave learn to enunciate; and 2) all four of us should henceforth use the name Steve. But for some reason, it only stuck with Steve and me.<\/p>\n
