We wandered through the <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"Ferry Building, San Francisco\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ferrybuildingmarketplace.com\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Ferry Building<\/strong><\/a> looking for a vegan-friendly restaurant. While we struck out on that, we saw lots of cute shops in the Ferry Building. <\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">We also saw a crustacean jail.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">[thumb:1326:c:l=p]<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">That&#8217;s just mean.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">We then took an electric trolley to Pier 23. We walked through the park at Levi&#8217;s Plaza then up the <a title=\"Filbert Steps, San Francisco\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sisterbetty.org\/stairways\/filbertsteps.htm\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Filbert Steps<\/strong><\/a>, in hopes of seeing some of the <a title=\"Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill, San Francisco\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.markbittner.net\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><span style=\"font-style: normal\">Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, or, as we sometimes mistakenly abbreviate, the Wild Paragraphs. (The birds are really cherry-headed conures.) We saw and heard a few of the birds flying overhead, but we didn&#8217;t see any roosting in trees.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">We continued up the <a title=\"Greenwich Street Stairs, San Francisco\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sisterbetty.org\/stairways\/greenwichstreet.htm\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Greenwich Street Stairs<\/strong><\/a> to <a title=\"Coit Tower, San Francisco\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coit_Tower\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Coit Tower<\/strong><\/a> for a brief tour around the ground floor and grounds. We&#8217;ve both been to the top of the tower before and decided to pass on it this time.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">Then down Kearny and over to Grant Ave. to stop at <strong><a title=\"101 Music, San Francisco\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/sanfrancisco.citysearch.com\/profile\/11344924\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">101 Music<\/a><\/strong>, 1414 Grant Ave.<strong> <\/strong>I love this place. 101 Music has a terrific selection of various kinds of music, including classic soul<font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\">\u2014<\/font>my favorite genre. They charge $10 per CD or 3 for $25. In addition to CDs, 101 Music has a large selection of records. For any youngsters who don&#8217;t know what records are, they&#8217;re old school, old technology, analog music on black (sometimes colored) vinyl discs, in various sizes<font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\">\u2014small-sized 45s (the number refers to the revolutions per minute, or rpms), medium-sized 78s, and LPs (for \u201clong playing;\u201d 33-1\/3s), the largest size. Even 45s are quite a bit larger than CDs.<\/font> Go ahead, Google \u201crecords.\u201d I&#8217;ll wait.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">[thumb:1324:c:l=p]<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><font face=\"Arial, sans-serif\"><font size=\"2\">We also walked by <a title=\"I Dream of Cake, San Francisco\" href=\"http:\/\/idreamofcake.com\/\"><strong>I Dream of Cake<\/strong><\/a>, 1351 Grant Ave. Shinmin Li creates works of art in cake and icing; her designs are amazing.
